The Evening
Dinner on the Harbour
Board at Stokes Hill Wharf at 5:00pm. As the Cape slips out into the harbour, the kitchen crew are already working below. Four courses, each one built around what's fresh and local. The sun drops, the harbour lights come up, and you're back at the wharf by 8:00.
The menu shifts through the season. What's running in the harbour, what's coming from the land and sea — that's what ends up on your plate. No fixed rotation. Every week is a little different.
$189 per person
Includes four-course dinner. Licensed bar on board.
The Menu
Four Courses, Built Around the Season
A sample of how the evening eats. The kitchen builds each menu around what's fresh, local and in season — so no two cruises are quite the same.
Menu subject to seasonal change and availability. Please let us know of any dietary requirements when you book.

The Route
More Than a Sunset
Darwin Harbour is one of the largest natural harbours in the country, and there's a lot of history under the keel. On 19 February 1942 this water took the first and heaviest air raid ever launched on Australia — more bombs fell here that morning than on Pearl Harbor, and ships still rest on the harbour floor beneath you.
As the Cape Adieu cruises the harbour you'll pass the old wartime oil-storage cliffs, the working port, and the city skyline as it lights up. Keep an eye on the water — dolphins, sea eagles and the occasional turtle are regulars out here. The crew know the stories, and they're happy to share them.
How the Evening Runs
Boarding to Last Light
Sunset shifts through the season — the sun drops near 6:45pm in April and closer to 7pm by October — so the kitchen times every course to the light. Here's how a typical evening unfolds.
5:00 PM
Boarding
Step aboard at Dock 3, Stokes Hill Wharf and find your spot on the deck as the crew serve drinks and make the boat ready.
5:15 PM
Lines Off
The Cape Adieu slips her lines and noses out into the harbour as the first canapés come round and the city falls away behind you.
Golden Hour
Entrée & the Light Turns
The seafood entrée is served as the light goes gold and the skyline starts to glow across the water.
Sunset
The Main Event
Your barramundi or scotch fillet lands just after the sun drops into the Beagle Gulf. This is when everyone reaches for a camera.
After Dark
Dessert Under the Lights
Panna cotta as the harbour lights come up and Darwin glitters off the water.
8:00 PM
Back at the Wharf
Lines on at Stokes Hill Wharf, full and happy, with the rest of your night still ahead of you.

Dinner Cruise FAQs
What's included in the price?
A four-course, chef-prepared dinner, plus the three-hour harbour cruise. A licensed bar is on board for drinks across the evening.
Can you cater for dietary requirements?
Yes. Let us know your needs when you book — gluten-free, vegetarian, allergies and the like — and the kitchen will prepare an alternative for you.
Can I bring my own drinks?
There's a fully licensed bar on board, so no BYO alcohol on the dinner cruise.
Is it suitable for children?
Families are welcome aboard. Let us know how many in your group and the ages of any kids when you book so we can set the table right.
What should I wear?
Smart casual does the job. Come prepared for an evening breeze on the water, and we'd recommend flat shoes over heels for getting around the deck.
Does it run year-round?
Dinner cruises run every evening through the Dry season, April to October. Outside those months, ask us about private charters.
Can we book the whole boat?
Yes. The Cape Adieu can be hired exclusively for up to 60 guests; see Special Occasions for private charters.
